The Miami Heat Season Is Over.

The Miami Heat have had their season ended after a first-round exit, getting knocked out by the Boston Celtics in five games. This season could be described as disappointing and stressful. This season for the Heat was just riddled with injuries from the beginning to the end. The Heat had thirty-five different starting lineups throughout the regular season. Butler missed twenty-two games, Herro missed forty games, Bam only missed twelve.

The biggest struggle for the Heat was their offense. On paper, they looked like they could generate some good offense but they finished the regular season with the twenty-first best offensive rating. Of course knowing the Miami Heat's pride about defense, they did finish the regular season with the fifth best defensive rating but there were many games where the Heat's defense just couldn't win them games. The Miami Heat finished the season with a 46-36 record, the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and had to take part in the Play-In Tournament to make the playoffs.

The Heat would face the Philadelphia 76ers and things went downhill, early in the first quarter Jimmy Butler suffered a MCL injury after Sixers forward Kelly Oubre Jr went up to contest his shot and landed on his leg. The Heat would lose against the Sixers but still had another chance to make the playoffs, facing the Chicago Bulls in a single elimination game to qualify for the playoffs. The Miami Heat dominated against the Bulls and won the game therefore taking the final spot to make the playoffs. The Heat would take on the Boston Celtics in the first-round of the NBA playoffs and attempt to recreate their historic run from last season, making the finals as an eighth seed.

The Heat would be without Jimmy Butler for the series and without Josh Richardson after having season-ending shoulder surgery. The Heat also ended up being without Terry Rozier for the series with neck spasms. Very depleted against the Boston Celtics who won more than sixty games, the Heat just didn't have a chance. After an early exit, Heat Nation is looking for a lot of roster changes this upcoming summer so stay tune for free agency in a couple months.
