The Miami Heat Season Is Over.

The Miami Heat have had their season ended after a first-round exit, getting knocked out by the Boston Celtics in five games. This season could be described as disappointing and stressful. This season for the Heat was just riddled with injuries from the beginning to the end. The Heat had thirty-five different starting lineups throughout the regular season. Butler missed twenty-two games, Herro missed forty games, Bam only missed twelve.  The biggest struggle for the Heat was their offense. On paper, they looked like they could generate some good offense but they finished the regular season with the twenty-first best offensive rating. Of course knowing the Miami Heat's pride about defense, they did finish the regular season with the fifth best defensive rating but there were many games where the Heat's defense just couldn't win them games. The Miami Heat finished the season with a 46-36 record, the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and had to take part in the Play-In Tou

Successful On the Road!

The Miami Heat have turned their season around after having a 1-4 start. After losing four straight, the Heat made adjustments to make sure their season doesn't plummet so soon. Miami Heat head coach, Erik Spoelstra, made a huge change in the starting lineup putting Haywood Highsmith at the starting Power Forward spot. Highsmith has shown significant offensive improvements compared to last season and he has blended well with the rest of the starting unit.            The Heat would have their first game of the new NBA In-Season Tournament against the Washington Wizards and would come out on top (Heat 121, Wizards 114). Tyler Herro had a great game scoring 24 points shooting 9 of 17 from the field (53%) and 4 for 7 from 3-point range (57%), 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals. Miami's other great shooter, Duncan Robinson, was on fire scoring 18 points shooting 7 of 11 from the field (64%) and 4 for 8 from 3-point range (50%), 1 rebound, 6 assists and a steal. The Heat g

Udonis Haslem is Back on the Heat!

If you are a true Miami Heat fan then you know much about the Heat legend Udonis Haslem. Back in 2002 Haslem went undrafted and would play a year overseas but would make his way back not only to the NBA but back to his city. Haslem would sign a 2-year deal with the Miami Heat and alongside him joined the fifth overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft Dwyane Wade. Haslem left a great impression on the Heat organization with his toughness and doing the dirty work on the court.            In 2006, Haslem played a major role in the Miami Heat's run to the NBA Finals and helping bring back Miami its first NBA championship against the Dallas Mavericks. While it was Dwyane Wade who carried the team offensively, Haslem was given the biggest assignment, guarding Dirk Nowitzki. Nowitzki was one of the top Power Forwards in the league and arguably one of the greatest Power Forwards ever. In the 2006 Finals Nowitzki shot only 31% from the field when being guarded by Udonis Haslem. Given th

Any time LeBron James comes back down to Miami it's a must-see game. LeBron spent four years of his NBA career in Miami in what is famously known as the "Big Three" era. During his time in Miami, LeBron James went to the NBA Finals four straight times, won two NBA championships, two Finals MVPs and two regular season MVPs. The case could be made that LeBron was at his peak when he was in Miami. The 38-year old Laker forward did not disappoint and continues to show his greatness.            The Lakers are coming off a lost in Orlando against the Magic and the Heat are coming off a win against their in-season tournament match up, the Washington Wizards. It's big games like this that you see more out of Jimmy Butler. In this game against the Lakers we saw Butler, who isn't known to shoot so many threes, go 3 for 4 from 3-point range (75%). Overall Butler scored 28 points shooting 9 of 15 from the field (60%) and playing great defense like he usually does.

Heat Could Not Complete Comeback Against Bucks

The Heat are coming off back-to-back losses against the Boston Celtics and the Minnesota Timberwolves. There was a lot of anticipation heading into this game given everything that happened this offseason. Tyler in trade rumors, Damian Lillard wanting to be in Miami but ending up in Milwaukee and the first-round series. While it is only the fourth game of the regular season for Miami, this was a big game given recent events.            Miami just struggled to get some offense going especially from Jimmy Butler. Butler only scored 13 points shooting 4 for 11 from the field (36%) and 1 for 2 from 3 point range (50%). By now Heat fans should now Jimmy is one of, if not, the biggest troll in the NBA and during the early span of the regular season you notice he isn't really trying. It is also worth mentioning that Bam Adebayo did not play in this game and was ruled out with a hip injury, he is listed as day-to-day. The Heat are a heavily focused defensive team and playing witho

New Season New Faces

The Miami Heat kicked off the new season with a win against the Detroit Pistons, Heat 103 Pistons 102. It was not pretty but the Heat have never been a flashy team and a win is a win. While the Heat primarily have the same roster as last season we did get a chance to see some new faces in last night's season opener. Thomas Bryant, the new backup center, brought so much hustle and energy and Jaime Jaquez Jr, the rookie, showed that he was ready to get his feet moving on the court.            The Miami Heat have had some issues with their backup centers especially last season. Whether it was Dewayne Dedmon or Cody Zeller, anytime Bam sat it was nearly guaranteed the opposing team would go on a run. This past summer the Miami Heat signed Thomas Bryant, who just won a championship with the Denver Nuggets to a 2 year, $5.3 Million deal and the second year is a player option. In his official Heat debut, Bryant went for 8 points shooting 2 for 5 from the field (40%), 6 rebounds,
